this guide was born from my experience supporting my wife in two unassisted homebirths. but the goal of this is not to land at the same decision. much of the content references my own experience, which was at home. it’s to sovereignly choose what will most support a physiological birth, whatever that looks like for her. it is your calm presence, embodiment and the protection of her space that matters most.
-
freebirth or as we like to call it, family led or sovereign birth is when a woman chooses to birth her baby without a licensed medical provider in attendance, usually at home, trusting her body and her own inner knowing. it’s a deeply personal choice, and it requires deep inner work to arrive at this decision. this guide helps you understand the path, prepare with care and be the grounded, informed support she can lean upon.

as we grow our families, we're not just raising children. we're passing something on. a standard. a way of being. a legacy that begins with what we model as fathers.
my first son’s birth left me with a lot of questions. about what i believed, what i stood for, and whether i could trust my own decisions when things got hard. those questions changed the way my wife and i approached the birth of our next child. we chose to birth in total sovereignty, knowing that choice came with real responsibility, weight, and freedom. we learned together, questioned a lot, and found our path. along the way, i looked for other fathers making similar choices, and i couldn’t find much out there.
so i’m building it.
a place for men to learn, question, and find their footing in birth and fatherhood. not because i have all the answers, but because i know how much it matters to ask the questions. if that’s you:
